Research confirms exercise therapy significantly reduces pain and improves function in musculoskeletal conditions (Hayden JA et al., Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2021).

Thorough Assessment

Thorough Assessment

We start with a comprehensive evaluation — reviewing your medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle to understand your condition fully. Through functional movement analysis, we identify imbalances, weaknesses, and movement patterns contributing to your pain. Flexibility, strength, and coordination are assessed to build an accurate diagnosis and a clear baseline for your recovery.
Hands-On Treatment and Exercises

Hands-On Treatment and Exercises

Our hands-on treatments include manual therapy, joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, and cupping therapy — each chosen to reduce pain and restore healthy movement. Combined with guided therapeutic exercises tailored to your condition, every session builds strength, flexibility, and stability so your recovery moves forward faster and lasts longer.
Personalized Treatment Plan

Personalized Treatment Plan

We track your progress at every stage — monitoring improvements in strength, mobility, and pain levels to adjust your treatment plan as you improve. Alongside hands-on care, we educate you on posture, safe movement, and injury prevention so you leave with the knowledge to maintain your results and reduce the risk of pain coming back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about physiotherapy at CoreFlex.

Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP in Ontario?

Physiotherapy is not covered by OHIP for most adults in Ontario, but it is covered by most extended health insurance plans. CoreFlex direct bills to Sun Life, Manulife, Green Shield, Blue Cross, Canada Life, and most major insurers — so there is no upfront cost for eligible patients. Motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims and WSIB cases are also accepted. If you are unsure about your coverage, contact us and we will verify your benefits before your first appointment.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a regulated healthcare profession that treats musculoskeletal conditions — injuries and pain affecting joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. At CoreFlex in Woodbridge, our certified physiotherapists assess, diagnose, and treat conditions from back pain and sports injuries to MVA and post-surgical rehabilitation using evidence-based, hands-on care.

How does physiotherapy help with pain?

Physiotherapy reduces pain, rebuilds strength, and restores mobility through targeted treatment. It identifies why pain is happening and corrects it at the root — so the relief is lasting, not temporary. Every session builds on the last with clear progress markers.

Who is physiotherapy for?

Physiotherapy is for anyone experiencing pain, stiffness, or limited movement — whether from a sports injury, workplace strain, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, or the wear of everyday life. No referral is needed to get started at CoreFlex.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No referral is needed to see a physiotherapist at CoreFlex. You can book directly and we'll assess, diagnose, and begin treatment at your very first appointment. If your insurance requires a referral for direct billing purposes, we'll let you know — but it's never a barrier to getting started.
